Erika Jayne’s estranged husband Tom Girardi, a once-respected attorney in LA, was recently forced into bankruptcy. He and his firm allegedly owe $101 million to creditors.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star maintains that she knew nothing of her husband’s alleged misconduct.
Based on legal papers obtained by Radar, Tom has been accused of owing $3.7 million to the IRS in a creditor’s claim.
The documents suggest he failed to pay the entire amount that was owed to the government in 2018 and 2019. The 2018 tax bill has increased $20,000 due to interest, while the 2019 bill increased $43,000.
Tom is facing $51,000 in civil penalties as well. His tax debt will take priority over all other debts in the bankruptcy case. Erika cannot receive spousal support until the bankruptcy case is finished.
According to recent reports, several cast members on RHOBH are ganging up on the pop singer this season (which just finished filming).
Many of the details are still hidden, but Garcelle Beauvais recently unfollowed Erika on Instagram before Erika unfollowed her back. Sutton Stracke also unfollowed the singer, but she quickly changed her mind.
There were also rumors that Lisa Rinna was turning on Erika (her long-time friend), but the actress’s social posts suggest otherwise.
Some fans feel Erika has been dragged through the mud long enough while others want to see her suffer. Though she hasn’t been convicted of a crime, many on social media are determined she’s guilty.
