PHOTO: RHOC’s Shannon Beador Reveals Skin Cancer Diagnosis and Offers Update on Dog Archie as Fans React

Sending well-wishes to Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador as she just revealed that she was recently diagnosed with skin cancer.

Taking to her Instagram, Shannon posted a photo of a patch of skin that appears to be just below her right shoulder that is bandaged up. She says she had a “scab” in that spot that never healed properly, and it had turned cancerous and had to be removed. (Plus, she also gave an update on her family’s beloved family dog, Archie.) She also wanted to raise awareness for the disease and urged her followers to always stay vigilant in checking their skin for abnormalities.

“Just had skin cancer cut out,” Shannon started the caption. “I had a scab that never healed. Make sure to get regular skin checks! Also want to thank everyone for their love and support for Archie’s skin issues…Will post the details tomorrow!”

One user wrote, “Love that you’re spreading awareness! I’m 29 and currently battling melanoma for the 2nd time in my short life. 1st diagnosis was Stage 2 @ age 23. Now currently fighting Stage 4 melanoma, diagnosed 2 years ago and still trying to kick it. Now have 2 small kiddos, and already teaching them the importance of taking care of their skin! And my 4-year-old says he wants to be an oncologist when he grows up to give people ‘melanoma medicine’ lol ❤️”

Another chimed in, saying, “So happy you got it checked out and happy that Archie is doing better.????”
