Southern Charm’s Thomas Ravenel's Family Estate Has Hit the Market, See the Whopping Amount It's Listed for

It has been a few years since scorned politician Thomas Ravenel appeared on Southern Charm. However, he has maintained a somewhat active public profile, and he recently tried to revamp his stalled political career with the intention of running for governor. Now, he’s back in the news because his family home is being sold for an exorbitant amount.

Thomas first appeared on Southern Charm during the show’s first season. However, he left the series before its sixth season on a sour note as he was accused of multiple instances of sexual assault. One of the accusers happened to be his kids’ former nanny. Most recently, he announced he was running for governor of South Carolina, but he later announced this was no longer the case.

Part of the appeal of watching a series like Southern Charm is seeing the excessive homes many cast members are connected to. One of the most talked about is the Ravenel family home, which was seen in the show several times while he was still appearing. Now, TV Show Ace is reporting that a Reddit post shows that it’s not only being sold, but that it’s also going for a shocking amount.

The report says that the John Ravenel House is being sold for an astounding $22,250,000. The house is located in Charleston, South Carolina, and it has eight bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and 9,407 total square feet. The alleged listing calls it a “historic residence” and says that it was built around 1848. It’s also important to note that no one from the Ravenel family currently owns it.

People who watched earlier seasons of Southern Charm will recall that Thomas would take people to see it on the show. His exact ties to the home are also unknown. Sadly, the report also says that the house is in an area with heavy flooding.

How much is The John Ravenel House selling for?? 😳 Built by Samuel Stevens for the Ravenel family in 1848, the historic John Ravenel House at 5 East Battery embodies Charleston’s rich legacy. It was home to prominent John Ravenel, a very familiar name that many of us know in Charleston. After earthquake damage in 1886, the house was rebuilt in Victorian Italianate style by Elias Horry Frost, John’s son-in-law, a design that endures today. It remained in the Ravenel family until 1953, saved from becoming condominiums in 1949 by Dr. Joe Sam Palmer (also known as The Palmer Home), operated as a B&B until 2016, and has since been restored as a private residence. It’s currently listed for $22.25 million 💰 If you’re in the market to own an iconic piece of Charlestons history, message me and we will take a tour!
