Porsha Williams is busy filming season 17 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. However, she recently took to social media to celebrate a legal victory against her ex-husband, Simon Guobadia, as his appeal of their divorce settlement has not been allowed to proceed.
Porsha, 44, and Simon, 61, tied the knot in 2022 after meeting two years prior. For a while, it seemed like they were happy, but then, the RHOA star shocked the world in February 2024 when it was announced that they were divorcing.
The divorce was finalized in June 2025, and Simon vowed to appeal the implementation of their prenuptial agreement, which granted Porsha $40,000 per month for 14 months, their marital home, and various cars.
Now, US Weekly has obtained documents that show the Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia has declined Simon’s request for a discretionary appeal following the divorce’s finalization. This means that the judge in the case agreed with Porsha and her legal representation that the prenup should be enforced.
For his part, Simon’s reasoning for seeking an appeal was that he felt Porsha made misrepresentations during the negotiation process for the agreement. Most importantly, he stated that Porsha claimed at the time that she would not return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta or reality television in general.
In response, the court documents stated, “The Court finds that [Williams] has been a reality TV celebrity for years, which was well known to Husband at the time of negotiating the Prenuptial Agreement, and [Guobadia] nevertheless married Wife with this knowledge.”
This comes after Simon previously told the court that the value of his business, which was once valued at $296 million, had dropped substantially amid his ICE detention.
Following the court’s ruling, Porsha took to social media to indirectly celebrate. She posted on Instagram Stories, “It’s over!!!! Thank goodness. Grateful.” She also posted the American flag emoji in another story.

Naturally, Simon issued a response. This time, he referenced Porsha’s gaffe from season five of RHOA. “Here we go again with Ms 265,” Simon said. “Still has learned absolutely nothing.”

The businessman said in another post, “Plot twist: you didn’t make the cut for Detty December 2025. #findanotherdaddy.” It’s essential to note that Deddy December refers to a festival period in Nigeria that spans from mid-December to the new year.
