Amid reports of their falling out on the new season of The Valley, Lala Kent addressed where she stands with Scheana Shay, shared the last time she saw her, and revealed why Scheana didn’t attend her daughter Sosa’s birthday party.
Last week, Scheana hinted that she was disappointed in Lala for not posting PR for her new memoir, My Good Side. The star suggested that she now has a “better perspective” on their friendship, which once seemed strong.
In an Amazon Live session, a fan asked Lala if she and Scheana had a falling out.
“Um… I just say, Scheana [is] Scheana[-ing],” answered Lala, via @realityops on Instagram. “And I’m letting Scheana Scheana. I have no, I don’t know. I’m just here minding my own. I don’t, I don’t know.”
She was then asked if Scheana came to Sosa’s birthday party.
“I’m gonna talk about how I feel about Scheana,” said Lala. “I don’t know where her head is at. Scheana is my friend. I love her, I love her family. She is like family to me. I am proud of her. I will say that over and over again, because that’s what I mean, and that’s where my heart is. I don’t know what she’s out saying. I’ve heard things that she’s talked about on her podcast. Did I listen? No, I didn’t listen. Was I sent little freaking headlines? Yes. Do I care? Not really.”
“I’m sure there was no ill intent behind what she said on her podcast,” Lala went on. “She was not at Sosa’s birthday party, one of the reasons being … [her] family member’s baby shower in Vegas. That’s one of the reasons.”
Lala continued, “She was invited [to the birthday], she was planning on coming. But I did see her — I want to say last weekend — in Palm Springs. I went over to her house. She saw Sosa, we hung out. I saw [her daughter] Summer Moon, she was swimming. Like for me, all is good.”
Lastly, Lala reiterated her love for Scheana.
“Wherever her head is, is where her head is. I love the girl, but it is what it is,” she shared. “I don’t know. I’m just sitting here trying to mind my own … and sometimes it’s very hard because I can’t shut my mouth at times. I could have easily avoided that question. And did I? No.”
