Below Deck‘s 12th season premiered in June on Bravo. Among the cast for the new season are Jess Theron and Bárbara Kulaif, who began dating during their time together on the yacht. Now, Bárbara is opening up about where they stand following the end of filming and multiple love triangles.
Bravo announced the cast of Below Deck season 12 in April 2025. It included Captain Kerry Titheradge returning, as well as Chief Stew Fraser Olender and deckhand Kyle Stillie. In addition to Jess and Bárbara, the new crew members included Chef Lawrence Snowden, Bosun Caio Poltronieri, deckhand Damo Yorg, and stews Rainbeau de Roos and Solène Favreau.
According to Bravo, Bárbara appeared on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. During the episode, he inquired about her current relationship status with Jess. This led to her confirming that they are no longer together. She also admitted that she gave Jess another chance after her fling with Solène.
Jess told Andy, “I don’t regret anything from my life, but my therapist isn’t proud of me.” She went on to reveal that she blocked both Bárbara and Solène after filming wrapped on Below Deck season 12.
Jess also recalled an incident where they “f–ked up” with her. She stated that their breakup happened during the disembarking process from the St. David. They were staying in a hotel at the time.
“I went to Jess’ hotel room, because we were supposedly together, and we had a fight because, in my mind, they still had a thing,” Bárbara said. “I wasn’t wrong, by the way.” From there, the Below Deck star stated that she saw the two women together the next morning, leaving Jess’ room, confirming her suspicions.
According to her, “Jess just opened the door and she left with Solène — and Solène was naked.” Regarding where they stand today, Bárbara says she has met Jess’ new girlfriend, Katie. According to Bárbara, “I think she’s the best part of the relationship. She’s lovely, she’s a really lovely girl.”
She said of her status with Solène, “We keep in touch. I think she really thinks we are still good friends — and maybe we are good friends — but friends I would never bring home to parents.”
