Captain Kerry Titheradge and his Below Deck crew shared their thoughts after watching back the new season, as Bárbara Kulaif revealed what happened with her and Jess Theron after filming wrapped.
Throughout the episodes, Jess went back and forth between Bárbara and Solène Favreau. By the end of the season, she chose to pursue a relationship with Bárbara.
At one point in the season, Kerry kicked off a charter guest, claiming she drank so much she was out of control.
“Watching the season back always gives me new perspective,” said Kerry in an interview for The Daily Dish. “As captain, I don’t see everything that happens in the moment — so it’s eye-opening to witness the dynamics as viewers do.”
“What I want to make clear is that my decisions are never personal,” he said. “Every call I make is about what’s best for the guests, the vessel, and the team as a whole, even when it’s tough.”
He also addressed a post-charter convo with the woman he kicked off the yacht.
“Kelly has since apologized for the way she acted,” said the captain. “She did thank me for sincerely taking care of her. … She explained to me that she was on a different charter in the past and was seasick and she couldn’t use the boat or use anything, so she was, like, partying like it’s 1999.”
He also hinted at where he stands with the crew, admitting that “some are easier to stay in regular contact with.”
“I’m a huge advocate of mental health, so I make a real effort to check in on all my crew. Being captain isn’t just about running a yacht — it’s about making sure the people who work with me feel supported, especially off-camera when the spotlight’s gone,” he said. “Fraser and I have built a great friendship; I’ve got a lot of respect for his growth as a leader. And I’m also really close with Jess and with Hugo, who impressed me with his drive this season. But truly, there’s no one I’ve cut off; they’re all part of my crew, and I’ll always have their backs.”
Bárbara also shared that the season confirmed her beliefs.
“Watching the season back honestly gave me a sense of relief, because it confirmed that I was right all along about the way Jess treated me,” said Bárbara, noting that she and Jess were still in a relationship when the season ended, but their situation soon changed after filming wrapped.
“As viewers saw in the final episode, she was no longer planning to go to New York, as she had been saying before,” said Bárbara. “We had an argument because, in my heart, I still felt there was something unresolved between her and Solène. That’s when I decided to end things.”
According to the stew, Bárbara returned to her hotel room and “unexpectedly crossed paths” with Solène.
“I told her I was upset about how everything had ended, but that it was for the best — for my peace of mind,” she said. “The next morning, as we were heading to the vans, Solène opened the door to Jess’s hotel room wearing only a pillow in front of everyone. It was very clear they had spent the night together. It felt like a punch to the stomach, but it also gave me the certainty that I had made the right choice.”
“In the end, the deepest sadness comes not from someone you were only seeing for a few weeks, but from realizing it’s the people you considered friends who hurt you the most. I also want to make it clear that I didn’t share my story to create hate toward anyone — I simply told the truth of what happened,” she added.
Speaking to the same outlet, Jess also shared her version of events.
“Barbara ended things right after cameras stopped filming,” said Jess. “It upset me and we fought, she ignored me and cancelled our plans to go to New York together. Whatever I do after she ended things was none of her business.”
Jess said she has “receipts and messages” to prove her claims.
In a recent Instagram post, Solène revealed that she’s set to compete on Love Island Games on Peacock. Kyle Stillie has shared that he wants to pivot to the adult film industry, and he’s currently promoting his OnlyFans.
