The Real Housewives of Atlanta ended its 16th season with Phaedra Parks and Angela Oakley on the outs with one another. Now, both ladies are set to return for season 17. Recently, Phaedra opened up about her relationship with Angela and shared her thoughts on singer K. Michelle joining the show.
Regarding season 16 of RHOA, Phaedra, 51, returned for the last few episodes. She quickly began throwing shade at the ladies, with newbie Angela, 44, being one of the first recipients. In the end, Angela accused Phaedra of sending a man to accuse her husband of having an affair, something the attorney has denied.
Phaedra attended the Page Six Virtual Reali-Tea Awards on September 17 and was honored with the VRT Valedictorian award. During the show, she sat down for an interview, where she was asked about the commentary provided by Robyn Dixon, 46, and Gizelle Bryant, 55, regarding K joining RHOA.
She said, “I didn’t see that because, you know, I have a lot of jobs, so I’m not really on social media.” The crowd then cheered as part of Phaedra’s humor and lore has always been her “several jobs.” She added as they cheered, “I’m working. I’m really working.”
Regarding thoughts on K, she said, “I mean, I like K Michelle. She’s a little nano dose like me. She’s a little tiny firecracker. I mean… so she’s… I like her.”
Phaedra went on, “I think she would add something to the show. Definitely.” From there, the hosts mentioned the tense relationship between Phaedra and Angela. Phaedra stated, “I think people sometimes come on the show and you just come for people… the top.”
She continued, “Just being honest. The cream rises to the top, so you have to aim for the stars.” They then mentioned how Angela left a positive comment on a social media post about her attending the Emmys.
Phaedra said, “I talked to her. We’re in a different place.” Filming for RHOA season 17 is currently underway.
