Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen addressed his controversial prank with Howard Stern, his drama with the W Hotel after his recent move, and how a “terrible” Bravo reunion moment led to him deciding to lose weight by micro-dosing a GLP-1 medication (a hormone that affects the regulation of digestion, appetite, and blood sugar).
Speaking on Jenna & Friends, Andy first addressed some drama with the W Hotel in Hoboken, New Jersey, after his recent move.
“I am fortunate enough to have a bountiful outdoor space in the new apartment, which is why I moved, which is a commodity in Manhattan,” he explained. “And I look at beautiful Hoboken, New Jersey, and it’s great. But the W Hotel[‘s] light is so blazingly bright that I started posting about it on my Instagram … They dimmed it for me, and it has remained dimmed. We are three weeks after the post. And it’s incredible. And you know what? My neighbors are thanking me.”
He also shared that he started micro-dosing a GLP-1, which “kick-started” his weight loss and health journey, after he couldn’t button his suits.
“I couldn’t button my suits, it was bad,” said Andy. “We all notice ourselves and especially when we’re on TV. We’re looking at a freaking monitor of ourselves every day — terrible.”
According to Andy, it was during the reunion for The Valley, which aired in July and August of this year, that he realized he needed to lose weight.
“If you watch The Valley reunion from last season, which I know you will, I do not look my best,” he shared. “It was after that that I was like I gotta get this together.”

Andy added, “It was a real fitness journey for me as well. I’m just being so much more deliberate about what I put in my mouth and how I work out… It’s been great.”
Earlier this month, Andy declared that he was taking Howard’s spot on his SiriusXM radio show. Although Howard soon shared that the comment was a prank, many news outlets reported the announcement. Later, some fans accused Howard of orchestrating the prank to create buzz around his show.
He is now sharing more details behind the prank.
“Howard – it was his idea,” said the star. “He called and he said … ‘You need to play this as realistic as possible.’ I said, ‘Well, if I was sitting in your chair and you were unceremoniously dumped, it would be both thrilling and incredibly awkward. So that’s going to be my point of view.’ He said, ‘Absolutely.’”
“The [Associated Press] ran with it. Variety [ran with it],” he continued. “I was like, these headlines are amazing. I loved it … I was thrilled.”
Andy was then asked if the prank could become reality in the future.
“Well, I mean, listen, Howard is Howard. He does [it],” Andy answered. “But it was really – I got to tell you something – that chair felt real good. I was fondling his microphone. It was awesome.”
