Channing Tatum denied Jax Taylor’s 12-year-old claim that he and Channing were once roommates in New York. The actor said it’s “absolutely not” true, as fans reacted.
Many years ago, Jax told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that Channing was his roommate in the past. Recently, Jax exited The Valley, a spinoff of Vanderpump Rules, amid his divorce from Brittany Cartwright.
“You were roommates with Channing Tatum?” asked Andy at the time.
“Yeah, he was my first roommate in New York when I first started modeling,” Jax answered.
Stassi Schroeder then asked, “Did you guys hook up? That’s my biggest fantasy.”
But on a recent episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, Andy asked Channing about it.
“Were you the roommate of someone called Jax on Vanderpump Rules, Jason Cauchi?”
“Absolutely not,” Channing answered.
“Absolutely not. You’ve never lived with this person or a Tom Sandoval?” said Andy. “There’s someone called Jason Cauchi on Vanderpump Rules, who now goes by Jax, who said that in the day, when you were both young models, he was a roommate of yours, any recollection of this?”
“No,” said Channing. “I need to see pictures of them … [because with] models, sometimes they’ll throw you in like a model house, like that has just like a bed … I got kicked out of like, I think my first model house, I got in a fight with one of the [guys] … but I never really went, no, I don’t think [I was with Jax].”
When Andy showed Channing a photo of Jax, Channing seemingly didn’t recognize him.
Fans then shared their reactions in the comments of @thebravobabe’s post on Instagram.
“This is Amazing,” wrote one fan.
“So satisfying 😂,” said another.
“Maybe he was going by the name Frank Dremon and that’s why Channing doesn’t remember?” joked a different user, referring to Jax’s alleged finsta account.
“I was going to be so mad if Andy didn’t ask this question!” said a fourth.
“So if it’s ‘true’ [they were at the same model house, then] it’s a streeeeetch calling him a roommate,” wrote a fifth.
“His eye movements tell us everything we need to know!” said a sixth.
