Tom Schwartz revealed he’s dating someone new, and addressed if he wants to have kids. Meanwhile, the Vanderpump Rules star also gave an update on his friendship with Tom Sandoval – after recently sharing they were on a break.
In past months, fans speculated that Tom and his former costar, Lala Kent, were in a secret romance. In September, Lala leaned into it by jokingly posting their ‘soft launch,’ which sparked more rumors.
On her Untraditionally Lala podcast, Lala addressed claims of a secret romance.
“Everyone was like, they’re for sure f**king. They’re for sure dating. They’re for sure doing whatever it is that people do when they’re working towards a relationship. And we couldn’t shake it,” said Lala, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. “And then I didn’t help a few days ago with [my post].”
“I liked it,” Tom responded. “I didn’t repost it. I have respect for someone I’m dating, but she is in on the joke and she gets it totally.”
“I know you’re keeping [the romance] kind of under wraps and protecting it,” said Lala, who shared that she met the mystery person. “Now that I can put like a face, a very hot face, someone call it a supermodel stunning face. I like kind of couldn’t put together words when I saw her. But then I felt bad because I had like posted that … And then I met her and I was like, oh, f**k. This isn’t just a girl’s name that I’ve heard.”
Tom agreed that the woman is “not just a fling
“I was texting my best friend Jesus this morning and I was like, man, I’m really digging somebody right now,” he added.
Later on, Lala commented, “Let’s talk about kids very quickly. So the girl that you’re seeing is younger than you … Is there a timeline for you, not saying that you’ve had this discussion with her, but for you where you’re like, I would like to start having kids when I’m this age?”
“I think I’ll be really sad if by the time I’m 50, I don’t have any kids. I’ll probably have an existential meltdown,” he said. “I feel better than I’ve ever felt in my life. I feel healthy and I’m happy. I’m in a good place, but yeah, I want kids, man. But I don’t want to be so rigid with timelines and stuff that I deny myself being in the moment and happy.”
Around the same time, Tom, on his own podcast, Detox Retox, addressed where he stands with Sandoval.
“Do you still speak to Tom Sandoval?” asked guest star Peter Madrigal, via Entertainment Now.
“Yeah. He’s on tour right now,” answered Schwartz. “I was going to meet him in Texas, actually. We took a break from each other for obvious reasons and just to recalibrate.”
