Tamra Judge shared what the Real Housewives of Orange County doesn’t show of her. Her friend Alexis Bellino then reacted, claiming she herself was given a “skewed storyline,” and hinted at what else wasn’t shown.
For many years, fans have criticized Tamra for her actions on the show. Many accuse her of gaslighting castmates (and the audience) for mentioning her past behavior. Last season, she insinuated multiple times that Shannon Beador is an alcoholic. This season, she’s slamming Shannon for “hold[ing] a grudge.”
Last year, fans also called out Alexis for defending her then-boyfriend, John Janssen, who was suing Shannon, his ex. Some have suggested that Alexis was callous toward Shannon without knowing the full history of their relationship. Alexis and John recently tied the knot.
“With reality TV, they’re going to show your strongest … personality, and mine just happens to be, ‘F**k you! F**k you!'” said Tamra on her Twot Seat podcast. “It’s worked, longest-running housewife. Not proud of it … but you know, that’s what they show. Do they show other sides of me? No.”
“Do they show me checking in on my friends and all … and being a good mom? No,” she continued. “But you know, I’ve accepted it. I took that villain role seventeen years ago.”
Alexis added, “Yeah, man. They just planted that hat on you. And guess what role I took, Tamra? The ditz. Even though I’m coming in with words y’all don’t know … They don’t want to show my Bachelor’s degree side.”
Tamra said she thinks the show made a “huge mistake” by not bringing Alexis back: “I think that it was the Shannon of it all. If you came back in different circumstances, you would still be on the show.”
Alexis stated, “If I would have came back … and John Jansen was not in my vocabulary … or even if I would have just gotten a little bit better of not such a skewed storyline, I think America could have liked me and would have liked me.”
New episodes of The Real Housewives of Orange County air Thursday nights on Bravo.
