Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Aaron Phypers was released from jail on a $200,000 bond, as the details of his charges were revealed. Meanwhile, a photo showed Aaron smiling with a woman after bonding out.
In July, Aaron filed for separation, leading to what is now a contentious divorce. His estranged wife, Denise Richards, has since accused him of physical abuse. Aaron was arrested Friday afternoon amid a court hearing in Los Angeles. His attorney, Michael Finley, told TMZ that the outstanding warrant is believed to be related to the abuse allegations from Denise. Michael alleged that Denise’s legal team set the whole thing up.
On Friday night around 9:30, Aaron was released from Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station on bail after posting the $200,000 bond, per TMZ.
Meanwhile, PEOPLE has reported that Aaron was arrested on a felony warrant from the State of California.
“I have not seen the criminal complaint yet, however, based upon the little that I have been told, it appears to be the same allegations we’re already fighting and I think proving to be false in the domestic violence case,” said Michael to the outlet. “So, we expect it to also be proven false and for him to be exonerated.”
The judge granted Denise’s request to continue her temporary restraining order against Aaron until November 7.
PEOPLE obtained records indicating that an eight-page criminal complaint was filed against Aaron on October 16 at Van Nuys Courthouse.
According to the outlet, Aaron’s charges include two counts of “injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend or child’s parent,” and two counts of “dissuading a witness by force or threat.” Regarding the charges, one of these alleged incidents happened on May 3, 2022, and three happened on January 17 of that same year.
“When a criminal case is filed the evidence has not been fully laid out and considered,” said Michael. “Criminal cases get filed all the time, and they get beaten. Just because a case is filed doesn’t mean it’s going to succeed. I personally believe Aaron, and I don’t believe Denise or her witnesses. We’re feeling pretty confident that we have shown that her allegations are false in the domestic violence case in the divorce court.”
Around the same time, TMZ shared a photo of Aaron smiling with an unnamed woman in a photo Friday night, shortly after he was released on bail.
