Selling Sunset season 9 premiered on Netflix in October 2025, and the streamer recently released the explosive reunion. Of course, much of the tension during the season existed between Emma Hernan and Chrishell Stause. Now, the former of the two is opening up about their issues, whether they can repair things, and why she rekindled her relationship with Blake Davis.

Chrishell and Emma have been close over the years. However, one of the things that changed this is Emma’s relationship with Blake. She has accused him of being hateful to various marginalized communities and says that their relationship has caused Emma to lie to her and flake on their plans.

Emma spoke to US Weekly in November 2025 and provided an update on her current status with her co-star. She said, “We have not spoken since the reunion and, you know, it’s one of those things where if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all, and I don’t have anything awful to say. I wish her the best, and I wish G the best.”

She continued, “I know that they’re, they don’t like Blake, and I know how everyone feels, and that’s okay, but we had such a close relationship for so long, and ultimately we had a great sisterhood and family relationship, that I would never want bad things, no matter how angry she is with my current situation.

Emma also spoke to Entertainment Tonight about her frayed relationship with Chrishell. When asked if they could move forward, she said, “I think there’s a lot of damage that has been done, but like I said, I don’t wish anything but great things for her for G, for anything.”

She continued, “If she ever wanted to have a conversation and wanted to talk about things, I mean, the door is open.” She was then asked what her message to Chrishell would be. Emma responded, “I mean, I really just want you to be happy. I genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, just want you to be happy.

Later in the interview, Emma was asked if she agrees with the other cast members who call Chrishell a “secret mean girl.” She said, “Yeah, I definitely, look, we had a sisterhood. We really did, so I’m not gonna sit here and go up and bash her because she doesn’t deserve that, nobody deserves that, but yeah, I don’t think that everyone is always out to get you.”

Emma also recently interviewed with Tudum and discussed her relationship with Blake and why she went back to him. She said, “If I really cared about making myself look good, I would’ve stayed broken up with him or would’ve said, ‘Nope, we’re not together.'”

She continued, “But ultimately, with relationships, there’s back and forth – and I think that that’s OK to show.” Regarding giving the relationship another chance, she revealed, “I had a realization at the reunion that I was [thinking too much] about what other people think.”

Emma then said, “If I want to go spend time with this person, why am I so concerned about what everyone else is going to say? After the reunion, I went to go see him, and we’ve been traveling and been together ever since.”

All episodes of Selling Sunset are available to stream on Netflix.
