Lala Kent clapped back at the accusation she has a “double standard” with Tom Sandoval, and hinted at why her situation with ex Randall Emmett is different. Meanwhile, the mother-of-two also addressed her dating life.
On the last season of Vanderpump Rules, Lala spoke to Sandoval after his affair with Rachel Leviss – despite Lala’s friendship with Ariana Madix. Fans then slammed Lala, who (after her own past breakup with Randall) declared that she won’t be friends with anyone who associates with Randall, the father of Lala’s oldest daughter Ocean. Specifically she slammed Tom Schwartz, who hung out with him once after the split.
On her Untraditionally Lala podcast, Lala clapped back at a fan questioning what Lala would do if someone in her friend group started being friends with her ex today.
“People are like, ‘You had a conversation with Tom Sandoval, and why can you do that but someone can’t be friends with your ex?'” said Lala. “My ex is a very specific person. If you f**k with him, you’re f**king dirty and I don’t want you in my life.”
“People can say like, ‘Well you have a double standard,'” Lala went on. “No, I don’t. And if you knew what I knew, you too would not want anyone around him.”
Around the same time on Casual Chaos, Lala addressed her dating life.
“I like sex. I think sex is very fun,” she shared, via News Week. “I enjoy that they leave after because I set that boundary. I give them an option, you can leave tonight or you have to be gone before 7 am because that’s when my daughter [Sosa] wakes up.”
Lala shared that men don’t come over when her other daughter Ocean is home. “That’s the boundary that I set and it has been awesome,” she explained.
According to Lala, she may someday find the “right guy,” but she has an “independent, happy, peaceful life,” and she wants it to stay that way. Though she thought she wanted to start dating, she realized this isn’t what she wants – at least for now.
“So, why would I go do something that I don’t want to do?” she asked. “I don’t want to get married and it’s very hard when I meet someone … who’s around my age, I really have to let them know in a subtle way that I’m not looking for anything … And if you’re looking to get married and have children one day, just know this is just for fun, I’m not going to be able to give you those things.”
Lala also said she only has girls dinners on weekends when Ocean is with her dad.
