Marciano Brunette shared that he’s preparing to sue Demi Engemann for claiming he sexually assaulted her, as the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star seemingly reacted.
On a past season of Hulu’s Vanderpump Villa, Demi and Marciano met for the first time. Marciano later alleged that he and Demi had a romantic relationship. Demi then claimed that he had touched her inappropriately multiple times. On the new season of SLOMW, Demi’s co-stars questioned why, given her allegations, she continued to text him and talk to him over the phone.
Speaking to The U.S. Sun, Marciano says he’s planning to take legal action against Demi.
“It all started on Vanderpump Villa, and it was a very mutual connection,” he said. “[Demi] was very flirtatious, very touchy-feely with me … So she obviously was giving me the implication that everything was fine, and it was something that I didn’t feel weary of in any sort of way. It progressed from there.”
“The first night we were playing truth or dare, someone dared me to kiss someone in the room, and she’s sitting next to me and we were already talking and engaging at that point,” he continued. “So I politely leaned over. I said, ‘Do you mind if I kiss you on the cheek?’ She says ‘Yes,’ so that was absolutely okay. She didn’t mind that whatsoever … From a physical aspect, though, nothing happened outside of that … And then the kiss on the lips when she left.”
He claimed it was a “little more than a peck, but nothing overly crazy.”
“It wasn’t a make-out or something crazy. It was just kiss on the lips,” he said. “First off, I just want to preface that I’m taking this so seriously because it literally is so damaging to my name and possibly career. I still have a job, [and employers] are coming up and questioning me about these accusations. They are worried like, is it okay to still have me working for them? And that’s a very damaging thing to my life, because if I lose that job, then do I have to worry about getting a job elsewhere, knowing that maybe I was terminated for possibly, which I’m not, [being] a sexual offender.”
Marciano claimed Demi had a reason for allegedly lying about him.
“We had such a strong connection in there, that she was so worried about how it was going to be, how it was going to look, how she was already looking to the other girls in her group, where they were not happy with her,” said Marciano. “So she was trying to do everything she could to protect her marriage. And that’s where she felt like she had to go in defense mode. And honestly, she did it all to herself.”
“There’s cameras everywhere [at Pump Villa],” he went on. “There was not anything that you did not see. … It’s just crazy all the things that happened in there for her to then try and flip that narrative, because she felt like she had to protect her marriage.”
He said a lawsuit is “100% being discussed right now. … Nothing ever happened between me and Demi that was non-consensual. I never touched her, ever.”
“She should be worried of discovery,” his brother added, and Marciano agreed.
“We’re moving really quickly,” said Marciano, who shared that he lost several career opportunities amid Demi’s allegations.
In a social media post, Demi seemed to react.
“The restraint I’ve been able to demonstrate despite the absolute utter nonsense and lies being spewed about me all week should seriously be studied. I am so freaking proud of myself,” she said, via @breakingtherulespodclips on Instagram. “I have never been able to stay this composed or show this much self control in my life. Thank you to my haters for allowing me to prove to myself how capable I really am and for giving me the opportunity to build even more self confidence, respect, and grit! What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, if you allow it to, every single time 🤍 also grateful to those who remain with common sense intact and can very clearly see through the bs.
