Austen Kroll said he’s “proud” of Salley Carson amid her recent feud with Taylor Ann Green. The star also shared more details about his breakup with Audrey Pratt, and he addressed whether there’s a rivalry between Southern Charm and Summer House after Paige DeSorbo’s split with Craig Conover.

Earlier this week, Taylor suggested that Salley had an affair with a married doctor and was hiding a secret boyfriend while trying to hook up with both Craig and Austen. Salley clapped back, denying the accusations and telling Taylor to “shut” her “mouth.”

Speaking to Page Six, Austen addressed Taylor and Salley’s feud.

“I’m not really sure why [Taylor’s] just deciding to go in on Salley after, you know, it’s all kind of settled down,” said Austen, alluding to their past drama. “But I’m like kind of proud of Salley for kind of like speaking her mind. … Because so many times I’ve sat there [after someone] said something … and just let it die and let it go away. And sometimes I’m like, you know what? I really wish that I would have said something. And I think that Salley is well within her right to respond.”

In an interview for Chicks in the Office, Austen shared more details about his split with Audrey.

“I was having conversations that I feel like normal people have after like a year and a half in of [wondering], what’s that next move? Because I don’t want to do it any longer, you know, three years apart from one another,” he said. “It was really nice for the amount of time that we did it, and then it was getting to the point of, what’s next?”

Austen claimed nothing ‘bad’ happened between them.

“That’s what’s made it so hard, and so like adult at the same time,” he explained. “Normally [there’s a] breakup because something happens. … I’ve never broken up with somebody in that manner … Let’s be honest, like in the past too, like I’ve maybe begun to fizzle out [in the relationship], and in my head, I’m like, I’m kind of over this, but I’m too chicken-s**t to break up with you. So you drive your partner nuts.”

At one point in the interview, he was asked if there was a rivalry between Southern Charm and Summer House after Craig’s split.

“After the breakup, maybe [there was],” Austen answered. “Because I think that there’s just like some snarky going back and forth [between castmates]. And at first, it was like, all right, well let’s ride for our show, you know, and they’re riding hard for theirs.”

“And it really wasn’t like an anti[-anyone], because I did text Paige after their breakup, and she texted back a very kind message,” he continued. “I don’t have beef with anyone.”
