Season 19 of The Real Housewives of Orange County ended with several relationship dynamics on the show being in question. Now, Heather Dubrow is opening up about her stance on Gretchen Rossi, where she stands with Tamra Judge, and if Katie Ginella could return for season 20.
Regarding Katie,41, fans will recall that she joined the series for its 18th season. However, she was then essentially iced out of the group in her second year on the show and was absent for several episodes. She has been open about wanting to return for season 20.
Heather, 56, recently interviewed with Entertainment Tonight’s Brice Sander. One of the topics she spoke about was Gretchen, 47, and the evidence that surfaced of her interacting with anti LGBT social media posts.
The actress and RHOC star said, “I think Gretchen’s a good person.” She continued, “It just struck me- what her for you page is like when you follow all these hate rhetoric accounts. I think that at the end of the day, it’s not my job to fix people. What’s my job is to be a good mother and a good human and really try to use this platform to highlight and educate.”
Heather continued, “And if we can do that and maybe change people’s ways of doing things, not just for public persona but to really look at what they’re doing and liking and behaving and clean it up.”
Brice then asked her about Tamra and if they had repaired their issues. She said, “I love Tamra, and I think this season, by the way, I’m sure she would tell you that she wasn’t happy with me a lot of times this season.”
She went on, “I feel like I’ve always been a good friend to her, and I’m honest with her, and that means she’s not always going to like what I have to say.” Heather then said she couldn’t be friends with someone blindly, saying, “That’s not a real friendship.”
Heather also interviewed with Decider about the upcoming 20th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Regarding her thoughts on Katie having expressed interest in returning, Heather said, “I mean, look, that’s above my pay grade. So, I have no idea, I mean, I haven’t gotten a contract yet.”
She continued, “I’m hoping it’s coming, but look, I think season 20 is going to be amazing. I’m excited for it. I’m really hoping we’re going forward instead of backward, and we’re gonna hopefully show what the audience really loves seeing, which is our fun, our trips, and our petty drama, like someone broke the bow off my cake and ate it.”
Heather concluded, “We’re gonna go back to that.”
