Tamra Judge addressed casting rumors for season 20 of Real Housewives of Orange County, slammed Shannon Beador’s “grudge” accusation, and hinted at her text exchange with Meghan King amid her custody situation (concerning the three kids she shares with ex-husband Jim Edmonds).
According to reports, Meghan lost custody after a CPS investigation. But the decision was temporary as they waited for a hearing to determine if the new arrangement would be permanent. Around the same time, rumors have surfaced that some alums could return to the show next season, including Meghan herself and Kelly Dodd.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Tamra shared that she hopes season 20 will bring an element of nostalgia.
“I think that will definitely happen. I’m just speculating because I don’t know what’s going on, [but] I think it’d be fun to have the olden times,” she said. “I really am concerned with Shannon, where she can’t move forward and she holds grudges and getting in between me and Vicki Gunvalson and that kind of stuff. That’s something people don’t want to see.”
“To be a good housewife, you have to have conflict and resolution,” she said. “She’s one that holds a grudge, but yet she’s calling me Tamra Grudge? Where all I ever tried to do is move forward, she cannot.”
As for the casting rumors, Tamra said fans shouldn’t believe everything they hear.
“First of all, Meghan lives out of state,” she said. “Kelly Dodd, I know somebody was saying I said I wanted her back. I never said that. Unfortunately, I think she’s crossed a line of no return. Going after families and kids and husbands, it’s not good. It’s just really not good. She really has a hard-on for Heather Dubrow. Leave her alone. Just leave her alone. I think if she played it smarter, she could be a good Housewife, but she just goes to places that nobody should go to.”
But Tamra hopes that Jeana Keough, Tammy Knickerbocker, and other familiar faces will appear.
Tamra also reacted to the “tough” reunion: “I was very hurt after that reunion. I was hurt by everybody … I was hurt by my cast. It was very hard to sit there and be accused of something you didn’t do and have no support, and I didn’t understand it.”
Later, Alexis Bellino herself was asked if she could see herself coming back for the new season.
“I’ll never say never,” Alexis told the outlet. “I think that they’ve done a pretty good job of the cast that they created, and I think they know what they’re doing … I think we should just focus on the glory of Vicki coming back. I mean, Vicki just came back.”
On the November 25 episode of her podcast, Two Ts in a Pod, Tamra addressed the situation with Meghan.
“I did text with her. She did not want to talk,” said Tamra, via Us Weekly. “She is so devastated. Her family is devastated. To have your children taken away from you by a third party, I couldn’t even imagine.”
“I’ve always known her as a good mom and a good person, and she’s got an amazing family,” she added. “And I always look at the mom and dad [who] have been married forever. She’s close with her brothers and her sister, and her dad’s an attorney.”
Tamra’s co-host, Dolores Catania, expressed, “I would die on the floor.”
“She is. That’s how she feels,” said Tamra. “Her poor children have to be totally confused because from what I heard from Meghan, he now lives in Tennessee or something … He’s in Nashville and she’s in Missouri. So that means her kids are far away if he’s still in Tennessee. The kids are very confused. They don’t fully understand things. They’re young. They’re really young. I just hope everything gets back to normal before the holidays for her. Everybody pray for her.”
