The Real Housewives of Orange County husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, addressed rumors he’s gay, and he shared how he would be “wealthier” if it were true. The plastic surgeon and his wife, Heather Dubrow, also reacted to Kyle Richards seemingly coming out as bi.
In a trailer for the new season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle seemingly shared that she could date either Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie. Then, in a recent episode, she revealed she was in a past relationship with someone who didn’t want it public.
“What’s the latest rumor? I’m gay, right?” asked Terry on their Between Us podcast. “The pathetic thing about the rumor about me being gay is…”
“… it’s just so stupid,” said Heather. “Why would we live like that? Why would we hide that?”
Terry added, “If I’m gay in this long-term relationship, please feel bad for me because I’m not living my true life. I’m having a life of dissatisfaction … If I were gay, I would be … really happy about it. And I would celebrate it. And by the way, I would be a lot wealthier because I would have married a guy who was very, very successful right away, and we don’t spend money the way women spend money.”
Heather then shared that they have “life insurance on Terry” but “not on me.”
“And I said to him once … ‘Why don’t you have life insurance on me?'” she recalled. “He goes, ‘Because my life would be a lot less expensive if something happened [to Heather].'”
“But gay-friendly as we are, why would we live a lie like that?” Terry later asked, before addressing the latest rumors about Kyle. “There was a rumor that Kyle Richards was gay during her marriage, which I’m sure there wasn’t. … Maybe that’s true. Maybe — although women can be bi, guys can’t be bi. Guys are only gay or not.”
“There’s a lot of women right now divorcing men and ending up with women,” added Heather. “All I know is that [Kyle] said, when asked about it, she said, ‘I could go Brad, I could go Angelina.’”
“So there you go. That’s bi,” said Terry.
“And that is perfect,” said Heather.
