Tom Sandoval fired back at Katie Maloney’s claim that he has characteristics of a “murderer” amid their battle on social media. The Vanderpump Rules star said Katie’s comment is “rich” coming from someone who “celebrated the murder” of a “father and husband.”
In September, Katie reacted to the murder of political activist Charlie Kirk. At the time, Katie shared a post saying, “We do not celebrate death. But we also do not mourn monsters. Those two things can and do coexist … The absence of mourning does not imply the presence of celebration.”
Amid fan backlash, Katie soon wrote an apology post.
Earlier this week, a video surfaced of Tom saying that Katie is in no danger of being “murdered” because she’s the “opposite” of someone whose smile “light[s] up the room.” Katie clapped back in a comment, telling Tom to “choke” and claiming he has the “characteristics of a murderer.”
Recently, Tom reacted to Katie’s comment.
“That’s rich coming from someone who celebrated the murder of a father and husband,” he wrote, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram, referring to Kirk. “So glad I don’t have to be around your miserable energy anymore lol.”

During an onstage Q&A, a fan asked Tom to play “F**k, Marry, Kill” with Lisa Vanderpump, Lala Kent, and Katie.
“Did any of you guys watch Discovery ID?” Tom answered at the time, via @commentsbybravo on Instagram. “What’s the thing you commonly hear about a woman that was murdered on Discovery ID? They always have one thing in common. They’re like, ‘She had a smile that would light up the room. She’d walk in and … the room would ignite.’ Katie’s like the opposite of that.”
“[Katie] does not light up the room at all,” he went on. “I would show up at [her ex-husband] Schwartz’s and be like, ‘I’ve been watching a lot of Discovery ID. Your wife … is in no danger of being murdered.’ … So in that note, I would say ‘murder’ Katie, ‘f**k’ Lala, and ‘marry’ Lisa.”
Katie clapped back with a meme of herself declaring, “Choke. I don’t care.” She then wrote, “Lol well he has the characteristics of a murderer.”
