Molly O’Connell recalled when Craig Conover “yell[ed]” at Venita Aspen on Southern Charm, and she shared where she and Venita stand after their onscreen drama. The star also teased her new boyfriend, as Shep Rose (her former fling) reacted.

After Paige DeSorbo broke up with Craig in late 2024, Venita commented that she’s Team Paige. Craig later stated that he no longer wished to be associated with Venita. Recently, Venita recently accused him of trying to ice her out of the group. Meanwhile, Venita and Molly had tension in a recent episode after Venita gossiped about her surgery.

On Page Six Radio, Molly shared where she stands with Venita today.

“I love Venita. She’s great. We are friends,” said Molly. “There’s definitely — you see that Craig kind of yells at her at a certain point.”

“I understand that Craig gets triggered and he blows up, and that’s — you know, that’s not great,” Molly continued. “And I know that that really hurt Venita’s feelings. Whether or not a lot of us really spoke up in the moment — we’ll see. … You know, I’m there for her. I understand her side of everything. I think she’s amazing. I think that was a really big blow-up that maybe wasn’t warranted at that level.”

According to Molly, she somewhat understands why Craig was hurt by Venita taking Paige’s side, but Venita and Paige are “actually really close friends.”

“And Venita has been very close with Paige and [her co-star] Ciara,” she added. “She didn’t just out of nowhere start saying it. People [were] asking and prying [with] very specific questions [about the split]. So she could have been a little more sensitive in the answer, but Craig could also be a little more sensitive on his side … I think he’s a much more sensitive person than people realize, and his reaction oftentimes is to lash out in maybe a little more anger than what seems warranted in the moment.”

Last month, Molly shared an update on her love life.

“I have been recently dating someone for the past few months,” she said in an interview with The Daily Dish. “He’s my boyfriend.”

Though she didn’t give his name, Molly said he’s from the South and has been living in Charleston “for a long time.” He also plays the guitar.

“He’s a talented guy,” said Shep, who was also in the interview. “[He’s a] super, super good guy.”

Around the same time, Shep shared on Watch What Happens Live that Molly and her new boyfriend were in a band together.
