Melissa Gorga shared why she thinks Bravo is “struggling” over Real Housewives of New Jersey, and gave an update on the upcoming new season. The star also addressed her reconciliation with Teresa Giudice, and revealed her recent encounter with ex-costar Caroline Manzo.
Before the 2025 holidays, Melissa and her husband Joe Gorga made up with his sister Teresa amid their family feud. At the time, some fans speculated that they did it to secure another season for the show. As of now, it’s still on hiatus.
On the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, Melissa addressed if she and Teresa are faking their reconciliation.
“If we all still didn’t get along the way that we didn’t, it would not be worth it to fake it for this show. Let’s put it that way,” she said. “So everyone can believe that this is real, because we would literally just pass on the show.”
She was then asked what she hopes is different about this reconciliation. “You know what? I think it needs to last,” she said. “And if it doesn’t, shame on all of us.”
Regarding the new season, Melissa stated, “I do know that they’re actively searching for new girls. I know that.” But the star said she doesn’t have the confidence to say she’ll be back.
“At this point, I don’t know [who would be my perfect cast] because we’re too divided,” she said. “And this is why I think Bravo is struggling. Because if you ask me that question, I can barely answer it.”
Later on, Melissa addressed if she speaks to the Manzos – years after their falling out.
“I just saw Caroline and [her daughter] Lauren in a local restaurant in Jersey,” Melissa explained. “They just happened to be there and we just happened to be there, and Joe and I were like, is that Caroline Manzo? Yeah. Blast from the past. … It was so funny. She was actually eating dinner with Lauren’s ex-husband’s new fiancée. I was like, wow, see this would be interesting. … And Lauren’s daughter [was] with the new fiancée. It was very nice to see them. I always loved the Manzos.”
