Reza Farahan took back his comment that Mike Shouhed should return to Bravo for The Valley: Persian Style. The star also predicted that Sky Askari and Bamshad Akhbari will split next, and suggested there’s “a lot more going on” in their relationship.
Amid the premiere of The Valley: Persian Style, Reza expressed his hope that several ex-costars from Shahs of Sunset, including Mike, should film in some capacity for the new show. In 2024, Mike’s former fiancé Paulina Ben-Cohen sued him under allegations of assault and battery. They settled the suit by September of 2025.
Speaking to Decider, Reza suggested that he changed his mind about Mike’s possible return.
“I honestly don’t think anyone should be given a second chance if they don’t deserve a second chance,” Reza stated. “But I was just bringing up all the old Shahs people. So, would I like everyone to have an opportunity? Sure. Do I think everyone deserves an opportunity? Not necessarily. … I would hate to upset our audience by bringing someone back that they didn’t feel like may have deserved the opportunity. So maybe I need to, like, take him back. Maybe remove him from the [list].”
In an interview for Virtual Reali-Tea, Reza was asked which couple is “headed for splitsville next.”
“Obviously Bamshad and Sky. A hundred percent,” said Reza. “She revels in putting that man down. And it’s hard to be around, and it’s hard to watch. … I think that there’s a lot more going on in Sky and Bomshad’s world that we don’t know about. And I think it’s like some deep-seated resentment.”
“We have a lot of super wealthy friends, and I think that Sky looks to other couples, sees what they have and wants that. And she might resent her husband for not being able to deliver,” said Reza. “She really wants a Bel Air house. You know I don’t want to give any spoilers out, but I don’t think that they’ve moved yet. So I think that that really bothers them.”
New episodes of The Valley: Persian Style air Thursday nights on Bravo.
