Kathy Hilton is being sued by a woman claiming she was injured at her Bel Air mansion in 2024 after suffering “severe and permanent” injuries.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is married to Rick Hilton, the grandson of Conrad Hilton, who founded Hilton Hotels. Kathy and Rick are also the parents of reality star Paris Hilton.
Recently, TMZ obtained court documents showing that a woman sued Kathy after an alleged injury at the Hilton mansion. The plaintiff, Kimberly Heffington, said she was in the Bel Air home (15,000 square feet, with seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms) for a visit on August 25, 2024.
According to Kimberly, her foot got caught between uneven pavement while she was walking, and this caused her to trip. She alleged she “landed violently on the ground, causing her to suffer severe and permanent injuries, including but not limited to a complex medial meniscus tear to her right knee.”
She’s suing Kathy for negligence, alleging that no safety signs or traffic cones were present to warn about the uneven pavement. Kimberly claimed that several of her injuries are permanent, and she wants to be reimbursed for unspecified damages and medical bills.
Per a report in 2024, Kathy seemed to be having an estate sale at her mansion that day to raise funds for charity. TMZ said Kathy hasn’t yet responded to the suit.
In December of last year, Kathy opened up about a terrifying home invasion while she was in Las Vegas for BravoCon.
“They came in, broke the glass, and it was raining and our security guy was down at the guest house,” Kathy shared at the time in an interview for Extra. “[Rick confronted them, saying] “get the f**k out of here. The police are on their way.”
“Then our [security] guy came up, they met, they ran out and then [Rick] started shooting the gun out of his office in the air,” she added. The star shared that she and Rick have increased their security since the incident.
New episodes of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills air on Thursday nights on Bravo.
