Jessi Ngatikaura reacted to Demi Engemann’s claim she’s willing to reconcile, as Jen Affleck said she “feel[s] bad” for Demi. Meanwhile, Mikayla Matthews suggested that Demi tried to “ruin [Jessi’s] life.”

On the latest season of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Demi accused Jessi of having an affair with Marciano Brunette. Jessi later admitted that they were emotionally involved, which put a strain on her marriage. In December, after the season aired, Demi said she’s open to making up with Jessi, her former friend. As for the upcoming season, Demi filmed in some capacity but wasn’t a main castmember.

In an interview for Entertainment Tonight, Jessi and her costars were asked about Demi’s claim that she’s willing to reconcile. (At the time, Demi stated: “If Whitney and Mikayla can become friends again, there is hope for Demi and Jessi.”)

“I think it’s easy for [Demi] to say that because she didn’t get screwed over the way I did,” said Jessi, via @themormonwivesreport on Instagram. “She did more to me than I did to her. So for her, it’s easy to be like, ‘Oh my gosh, yeah, totally.’ [But] for me, it’s done.”

Mikayla then addressed Demi’s comparison to the Whitney situation.

“The situation with [me and] Whitney [is] so different,” said Mikayla. “It’s not like Whitney was trying to out my affair and ruin my life and get more money. Well, maybe she’s trying to get more money, but not at my expense. So [they’re] completely different situations. It’s way easier to get over that than someone who was actively trying to ruin your life.”

Jessi added, “I have seen her scream and yell and talk down to every single person in this group. … So for me, it wasn’t even about me. It was like, if you treat people that way [when] they’re supposed to be your friends, I just don’t know if I want that.”

Later on, Jen said she “actually feel[s] bad” for Demi.

“I know that she’s probably going to receive a lot of hate and scrutiny, and I know what it’s like to be in her position where it feels like the whole world is against you,” said Jen. “And so for that, I do feel empathy towards her.”

But as for Jessi, the friendship door with Demi is closed. “In the words of Lauren Conrad, ‘I want to forgive you, and I want to forget you,'” declared Jessi, who said she thinks Demi “will come back” to the show eventually. “She’s a great villain.”
