Andy Cohen addressed the memorial service for Mary Cosby’s son, Robert Cosby Jr., on Saturday, and he shared which Bravo stars attended. Meanwhile, sources revealed that the service was not filmed for Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
On February 23, Robert tragically passed away at the age of 23. Police had responded to the possibility of an overdose, though the cause of death is still being investigated.
“I was not able to go to Robert Jr.’s service on Saturday in Salt Lake City,” said Andy on Andy Cohen Live. “I got a full report, though, and I hear it was an absolutely incredible ceremony.”
“It was Pentecostal. And besides the Salt Lake City Housewives and production team, I know that Cynthia Bailey was there and Sheree Whitfield was there, and Kyle Richards was there,” he went on. “I love it that they went. I think that is so kind. They are real ones, those three.”
Andy said he heard that the service was “uplifting” and “rapturous.”
“And Mary was on one, I mean, in a spiritual way,” said Andy. “She was spiritually on one, let me say that. And Robert Sr. spoke. … Kyle said Robert Sr. was unbelievable.”
Around the same time, per a report from TMZ, Bravo cameras were not filming the service. Sources told the outlet that it won’t be shown in the upcoming season, though multiple producers attended to show their respect.
The RHOSLC cast members, including Meredith Marks, Lisa Barlow, Whitney Rose, Heather Gay, Britani Bateman, Angie Katsanevas, and Bronwyn Newport, were also in attendance.
After Robert’s passing, Mary addressed her fans on Instagram.
“Our beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God’s promise and in knowing he is finally at peace,” said Mary. “We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow.”
Season seven of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is now filming. According to reports, castmates gathered together with cameras after Robert Jr.’s passing. Mary did not join them at the time, though she may film later when she’s ready.
