Summer House star KJ Dillard is spilling the tea. In two recent interviews, he opened up about an unaired fight with Jesse Solomon and gave his two cents on rumors that Amanda Batula and West Wilson are dating.
In an appearance on Taylor Brooke’s podcast, KJ was asked who he thought he’d hit it off with on the show and who he was nervous to interact with.
After insisting he knew he was “definitely” going to hit it off with Ciara Miller and Carl Radke, he admitted to being “nervous” about Jesse.
“There was actually a room situation that they didn’t show, but he was like trying to call dibs on my room,” KJ shared on the Taylor Taylor Taylor podcast. “And I have the double bedroom that I think him and Wes stayed in last season. And I was just like, ‘Nah. Like I just brought everyone’s luggage up, and I chose this room. You’re not taking my room, bro.'”
“And, yeah, we kind of like, we got into it a little bit,” he revealed.
In a recent interview with Parade, KJ called out Jesse for what he deemed as breaking bro code when he copped to catching feelings for Ciara, as Ciara had formerly dated West.
“Bro code… Jesse did not follow the bro code, unfortunately.” KJ alleged. “Yikes. I wish he would have went about this in a different way, especially from Ciara’s end, because I felt like it was a bit disrespectful to Ciara – not a bit… a lot.”
“And to West too, like they’re friends, you know what I mean?” he continued. “I don’t think Jesse was meaning it in the way he said it. I know Jesse, and he’s a very sweet guy, and he’s very respectful towards women. That’s why it caught me off guard because I’m like, Jesse, what’s going on, you know what I mean, and I was shocked as you could see in that episode.”
KJ also admitted he was in “disbelief” when Jesse said he wanted to hook up with Ciara and thought there was “no way” he could be saying that.
He said he and others were “taken off guard because it’s just like, dude, where’s this coming from and why are you doing this? I think she just doesn’t want to be treated like an object. I mean, no one does, and that’s kind of like how it came off.”
“It’s just disappointing, but I hope that Jesse learns from that,” he stated. “We all make mistakes. I’m not gonna shame him or anything, but I hope he learns from that.”
Aside from Jesse, KJ also spoke out on his thoughts regarding rumors that Amanda and West are dating in an interview with Swoon.
“They’re friends!” he exclaimed. “It’s so wild to me. People can’t just post photos together? People will run with anything.”
He also said the situation reminded him of when he was spotted getting coffee with Ciara over the summer and Summer House fans called him her “new man.”
“This is ridiculous!” he concluded.
