Martha Stewart has reportedly filmed a cameo for The Real Housewives of New York City reboot, according to a new report.
Daisy Toye, who has been Martha’s longtime makeup artist, is one of the new cast members set to appear in the upcoming 16th season.
According to TMZ, Martha filmed the cameo in recent weeks.
Other new cast members include Hailey Glassman, who is best known for dating Jon Gosselin, and Erika Hammond. RHONY veteran Carole Radziwill will also return as a “friend” of the Housewives.
Cast members from season 15 set to return include Sai De Silva, Jessel Taank, and Erin Lichy.
Erin recently spoke out about the upcoming season in a conversation with OK! Magazine.
“It’s not always the easiest,” Erin said of people comparing the revamped cast to the OG RHONY women, who all departed the show after season 13.
“They have compared us to the OGs in an unrealistic way,” she continued. “That being said, I really feel this season people will move on from that!”
While some people struggle with stepping into the limelight, Erin insisted she’s become “more forward-facing,” which, although challenging, is “very empowering.”
She also addressed her marriage to Abe Lichy, noting that they are “not a perfect couple,” which they are “okay” with.
“Our flaws don’t take away from our strength as a couple, and we’d much rather be open and honest and have backlash than be fake,” she explained.
While the couple shares four kids, she said they “really try” to prioritize putting each other first.
“What I’ve found lately is that when I carve out more time for my mental health through meditating and journaling, I’m actually much better at work and at multitasking!” she added, claiming “being disciplined” allows her to take on so much at once.
When Bravo announced Carole’s return, they shared the following on social media: “In the marathon of life, loyalty is everything. And because of Bravo fans’ loyalty, Carole Radziwill is returning to #RHONY as a friend-of for Season 16!!!”
Carole was last seen on RHONY on season 10.
Andy Cohen addressed Carole’s return on a recent episode of Andy Cohen Live.
“She’s coming back as a friend,” he shared. “We were at BravoCon, and Jeff Lewis is like, ‘Radzi’s definitely coming back. You wouldn’t be doing this [if not]. She’s here [at BravoCon].’ [But] it was not the plan at that point. It really wasn’t.”
Andy revealed he met with her in December or January to discuss her return.
“I think I took her out for coffee in, you know – was it in December or January – and proposed that she be a friend,” he recalled. “She was very Radzi about it. She was very analytical. She’s gotten to be pals with Erin and [her husband] Abe, so they actually are legitimate friends. And she had all kinds of questions about what does that mean, and all this.”
He added, “And she thought about it, and after that coffee, I honestly thought it was a 50/50 chance that she was going to do it.”
