Jordan Ngatikaura filed for divorce from his wife, Jessi Ngatikaura, one of the stars of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Last year, Jessi revealed she had an emotional affair with Marciano Brunette after meeting him on Vanderpump Villa, and her marriage to Jordan was on the rocks.

Jessi and Jordan have two children together, a five-year-old son and a three-year-old daughter. Jordan also has a daughter from another relationship. On the new season of SLOMW, Jessi suggested that their marriage still wasn’t in a good place. The couple put their $2.5 million house on the market in November of last year.

Yesterday, March 19, Jordan officially filed for divorce, according to PEOPLE.

“This has not been an easy decision and it comes with a heavy heart,” said Jordan in a statement. “I’m grateful for the shared memories and the lessons. … While our paths are now moving in different directions, my priority remains my children and ensuring they feel loved, supported, and protected through this transition. I am committed to handling this next chapter with kindness and respect.”

Back in November, Jessi told the outlet that she had faced “emotional abuse” from Jordan, and that they agreed to separate for 90 days and work on their marriage via therapy. Before that time, Jordan told PEOPLE in a statement, “I take full accountability for the pain I caused Jessi during our marriage.”

Speaking to the outlet in March, Jessi said they were continuing to go “to a lot of therapy” as a couple and individually. “We’ve been doing that for about a year now since the separation happened, and it’s helped a lot,” she added. “It’s taught us both a lot about how we are as individuals and how we are in a relationship, and it’s just kind of still a work in progress.”

“I just wanted to share that because I know marriage is hard, relationships are hard, and it’s normal to struggle,” she continued. “Even in a good relationship, you’re gonna have ups and downs. So I just think it’s good to show people that it’s worth fighting for, it’s worth working through and it’s something that’s always a work in progress.”
