A source shared the alleged reason why Christine Quinn and Selling Sunset are stuck in negotiations over her potential return for season 10. Around the same time, another insider claimed neither Christine nor Heather Rae El Moussa have yet been confirmed to come back.
Christine exited Selling Sunset before season 6. At the time, allegations surfaced that she bribed a certain client. She denied it while claiming the edit misrepresented her. Heather left the show ahead of season 7, not long after her maternity leave. But the 38-year-old is still on HGTV’s The Flip Off with husband Tarek El Moussa (as well as his ex Christina Haack).
According to a source speaking to TMZ, Christine and the show are actively negotiating for her to return, but nothing has been finalized because both parties are stuck on certain logistics. The insiders said they haven’t agreed on where she’ll be living amid filming – and who will pay for it.
Per the sources, the problem is that Christine now lives in Dallas full-time (she moved there last year with her son after her divorce). But Selling Sunset films in LA, and production wants her there for 5 or 6 months.
The insiders claimed that both parties are attempting to reach a compromise, which might involve her splitting her time between Los Angeles and Dallas, though no agreement has been reached. Additionally, the sources said she wants the show to pay for her accommodations and travel.
Meanwhile, a different insider indicated that Heather and Christine’s returns have not been confirmed.
“They are still figuring out the cast,” said the source, speaking to PEOPLE. What’s more, Netflix hasn’t shared if the show is getting renewed for season 10.
In a March 15 interview with E! News, castmate Bre Tiesi addressed the cast changes.
“[Selling Sunset is] having a change of guards,” said Bre. “I’m sure you guys have seen all the news going on, there’s some people that are coming back, some aren’t — I will be back.”
“I truly don’t know [if there will be newbies],” added the star, who said she’s “very happy” about the cast changes.
