The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Bozoma Saint John took to Instagram to address claims she lied regarding the Pinocchio mask comment about Amanda Frances.

“It looks like I accidentally stepped in it on this one,” Bozoma noted.

She then asked how many people “don’t have a poker face” and sometimes “say slick things” under their breath.

“How many of us sometimes say slick things, forget we said the slick thing, and then stand 10 toes down that we didn’t say it?” she continued. “That’s what happened on this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, okay?”

Bozoma then shared a clip from this week’s episode where some of the women were confronting her over saying Amanda’s name related to masks. Then, Bozoma showed earlier footage where she claimed Amanda would be Pinocchio after the women were out shopping and saw masks with long noses.

“For the purposes of this conversation, I’m gonna own this,” Bozoma revealed. “So, first, let me start by saying, Amanda, I apologize for hurting your feelings. I really, really do. I didn’t mean to do that, okay? All I was trying to get to was the fact that, like, look, we are here. We are talking about our lives in the most honest way possible. It’s not often pretty. I mean, I said it there.”

She also noted they have to talk about “everything” in their lives publicly, as they “signed up” to do so, adding that Erika Jayne “put it so succinctly.”

Bozoma then shared a clip of Erika telling Amanda that if she thinks anything she’s gone through “these last six weeks comes anywhere near what these women have gone through in this group,” she’d advise her to get in her car and drive away.

“Look, it’s true,” Bozoma elaborated. “And that doesn’t even just apply to this group. That’s the larger world. There’s so many of us who deal with all kinds of things being said to us. But look, we’re still standing. Still pushing. So, let that be the lesson. It’s two things. One, get a better poker face. Two, don’t say slick shit that hurts people’s feelings, okay? My bad.”

“Now, next time, we’ll talk about what we were really talking about underneath all of this,” Bozoma concluded. “Stay tuned.”

Bozoma’s co-star, Dorit Kemsley, recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live and addressed the Pinocchio drama.

“I just think it was a very flippant comment,” Dorit stated. “I think a nothing, and it was made into something so much bigger.”

She also responded to people saying she judged Amanda about being in a cult.

“I didn’t judge her,” Dorit shared. “I brought up the cult in direct relation to a comment that she made about never having left a dinner party that accosted or that upset. And I was just thinking to myself, you fled a cult. Like, hello. Let’s… call a spade a spade. So that’s why.”

“I guess the point is if you had to flee a cult, there’s some serious s*** that’s happening,” she added. “A dinner party? Come on. Please. Seriously.”
