The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives may be coming to an end, according to a new report.
This news comes amid reports that police are reviewing a new video from Taylor Frankie Paul‘s ex, Dakota Mortensen.
After an alleged domestic violence incident between Taylor and Dakota, production on the popular Hulu series shut down. Then, as video of the altercation that led to her 2023 arrest emerged, production remained paused.
According to a new TMZ report, it is “unclear” if production on the show will ever resume.
An insider revealed the future of the show remains “very much up in the air.” While police are looking into the incident with Taylor and Dakota, the source detailed JJP, the production company behind SLOMW, is investigating “unspecified leveled accusations” among the cast.
Until all of the findings from both investigations are reviewed by ABC, the source insisted there will be no movement forward. They also dished that, even if Taylor gets axed from the show, it’s still uncertain if cameras will start rolling again.
While fans wait with bated breath to see what will ultimately happen to the show, PEOPLE detailed that police are reviewing a new video from Dakota.
The West Jordan Police Department confirmed the news to the outlet, revealing there is an “active domestic violence case” that Taylor and Dakota are involved in.
A spokesperson said Dakota reached out to cops at the end of February and discussed the case with police in the “middle of last week.” While they are “hopeful” to speak to Taylor, no interview time has been scheduled.
The spokesperson added that Dakota submitted a video the department thinks was filmed in “early-to-mid 2024” and that police are reviewing it as part of their ongoing investigation.
“Dakota has a pattern of provoking Taylor, filming her when she starts to react and threatening to leak the videos to ruin her image,” a source dished. “They’re totally misleading as they make Taylor look like the problem by cutting out everything Dakota did to cause the situation in the first place.”
Sim Gill, the Salt Lake County District Attorney, said they were “aware” of the allegations in West Jordan, and they were interested in them due to Taylor being on probation for domestic violence charges from 2023.
Not only has SLOMW been affected by Taylor’s behavior, but her season of The Bachelorette was also scrapped.
“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of ‘The Bachelorette’ at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” a Disney Entertainment spokesperson said on March 19.
Their decision came after the video of the 2023 incident was shared online. In it, Taylor chucked barstools at Dakota, with one hitting her young daughter.
