Whitney Leavitt addressed her future on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, as sources claim castmates have “resolved” their filming issues, and production will resume in “a matter of weeks.”
Last month, the castmates stopped filming amid reports that Taylor Frankie Paul was allegedly involved in a domestic incident with her ex, Dakota Mortensen, who filed a restraining order against her. Both Taylor and Dakota have accused each other of abuse, and a police investigation is ongoing. According to reports, the cast didn’t feel comfortable filming amid the investigation.
As for Whitney, she recently competed on Dancing With the Stars with partner Mark Ballas. Though many fans were upset they lost, the dancers announced they were cast in Chicago the Musical on Broadway.
In an interview for Good Morning America, Whitney was asked about her future on SLOMW.
“We’re figuring it out in real time,” said Whitney. “I don’t really know. I feel sometimes that it’s time to venture out. Like, this is what I’m passionate about.”
She was then asked what hope she has for fans who come to see her and Mark on Broadway.
“People get very passionate about these reality game shows,” she said. “They’re like, you should have won, you and Mark. But we won in different ways, and we’ve continued this journey in a different way.”
Meanwhile, according to sources speaking to TMZ, the cast of SLOMW has “resolved” their filming concerns, and they expect to pick back up “in a matter of weeks.” They reportedly are trying to get Hulu to begin again ASAP so that their summer plans won’t be affected.
“[The cast] is attempting to pressure ABC to greenlight new episodes by building viewer anticipation [with their posts on social media],” said the sources, via Page Six.
On a recent episode of Boyfriend Material, Miranda McWhorter‘s ex-husband, Chase McWhorter, claimed that filming was “kind of up in the air at this point.”
“Hoping they do. All the other women have a bunch of great stories and storylines that haven’t been told. I think that’s a great thing they could look into,” said the castmate. “So I think they should, but we’ll see.”
