Lala Kent shared why her oldest daughter Ocean wasn’t seen on the latest episode of The Valley at her youngest child’s first birthday party – as Lala called it a “travesty.”

In the episode, Lala celebrated her daughter Sosa’s birthday with family and friends. In the past, Lala has discussed how she used IUI (intrauterine insemination) through a sperm donor clinic. (Side note: Her castmate Luke Broderick recently revealed that he was once a donor at the same clinic.)

“So apparently a lot of people were wondering where Ocean was in last night’s episode of The Valley for Sosa’s birthday,” said Lala in a social media video, via @tasteof_reality on Instagram. “Some of you even going as far as saying, does Lala not love Ocean anymore? So stupid.”

“She’s not allowed to film,” continued Lala, who split from Ocean’s dad Randall Emmett in 2021. “The other side will not give consent, but you need both parents. But Sosa only needs my consent, so she’s able to appear.”

But Lala shared that Ocean was indeed at the party.

“Ocean was here, she was thriving, and it is a travesty that she cannot be on camera,” she said. “But you know what, it’s all good. I have no control over it, so I’ve sent it into the universe.”

Back in February, Lala recalled when she almost cheated on Randall during their past relationship.

“[Randall] was out of town, and there was the finest football player who had slid into my DMs, he was like 6’6,” he still plays in the league. He’s had like 18 years of a career. … And he would like invite me to his birthday parties, and would invite me to like, his family barbecues. He was like, normal. But I was seeing [Randall],” said the star on her podcast, An Unlikely Affair.

“He wanted me to come over to his place, and I took my ring off … I left my ring at home, and I was like, I’m going to go see him. And I was driving there, and I had such a pit in my stomach. And I sent him a message, I’m like, ‘I’m so sorry, but I’m not coming. Like, my conscience is not allowing me,’” she continued. “And he finally wrote me, and he was like, ‘I don’t know what type of dysfunctional relationship you’re in, but I’m now letting you know, I don’t want any part of it. Have a good life. Please don’t contact me anymore.’”

New episodes of The Valley air Wednesday nights on Bravo.
