Katie Maloney accused Tom Schwartz of moving in with Jo Wenberg soon after they separated, and suggested he hasn’t changed since their divorce. She also shared what she’ll miss about Vanderpump Rules, claimed the reboot feels “cheap,” and addressed if Tequila Katie still exists.

In March of 2022, Katie filed for divorce from Tom. Soon after, rumors surfaced that he was living with his now-ex Jo. Two years later, Bravo announced that the entire cast of Pump Rules was getting replaced with new stars. Katie, however, said she had already decided to quit.

On Tom’s Detox Retox podcast, Katie accused Tom of moving in with Jo after she filed for divorce.

“You literally did [that],” she said, via @breakingtherulespodclips on Instagram. “Am I crazy?”

“She didn’t move in. She would hang out there sometimes,” said Tom.

“Well, her stuff was always there, so…” Katie clapped back. “She’s boiling a bunny somewhere.”

She also suggested that Tom hasn’t changed since their marriage, and she seemed to accuse him of “criticizing” her “emotions” when they were together.

“Do you [now] come home every night when you say you’re gonna come home?” she asked, implying that Tom didn’t do this during their marriage.

“Yeah,” he answered. “I’m so much more tame now.”

“What happened with your girlfriend?” asked Katie.

“We’re just really good friends now,” said Tom, who hinted that he hasn’t publicly shared more details because he tries to be “respectful of her privacy.”

But Tom hinted at why it ended: “I don’t want to be self-deprecating — but like you know better than anybody — maybe it’s not the biggest flex to be referred to as Tom Schwartz’s girlfriend … I saw her getting relegated to that, and she’s so much more than that.”

As for her decision to quit the show, Katie said she talked to her mom about it, thinking she would try to convince Katie to stay. In the convo, her mom asked if she’ll “be okay,” and Katie told her, “of course.”

Ultimately, her mom was supportive, as she saw that the past year “wasn’t good” for her daughter, who was “really really unhappy.”

Katie said she’ll miss being on Watch What Happens Live and “all those things,” but the show was “designed” to “break people down.”

Regarding the reboot, Katie said it “feels cheap,” and she questioned why they didn’t just create a new show. “To me, it just feels like it’s gonna try to have the same flavor, the same everything,” said Katie in this interview that took place months ago, before the new season premiered. “When you try to replicate a recipe, just based off of taste, you can’t do it.”

Later on, Tom asked Katie if she still talks to “Tequila Katie,” her drunk persona.

She said her “worst moments” on the show were when she “drank too much,” and she “need[s] to never get drunk.” She indicated that Tequila Katie is no more.

“Sometimes Tequila Katie would be fun. There’s definitely times where I’m just like, I’m definitely tipsy — but I don’t go dark side. I don’t rage text,” she stated. “The last time I think I was super drunk was in Vegas, and I just went to sleep and woke up with a terrible hangover.”
