Vanderpump Rules alums Katie Maloney and Dayna Kathan reacted to Jeremy Madix’s claim that Jason Caperna takes off his wedding ring at bars – after Jeremy alleged he saw Jason do it before talking to a woman. The Pump Rules alums also addressed a rumor that Jeremy will join The Valley next season.
The wedding ring rumor began on the last season of The Valley as Kristen Doute spotlighted the allegations. Jason is married to costar Janet Caperna, who’s made several allegations of her own against various castmates.
As for Katie, she’s best friends with – and owns a sandwich shop with – Jeremy’s sister Ariana Madix, a former costar on Pump Rules.
During an appearance on The Viall Files podcast, Katie and Dayna were asked whether Jeremy is reliable regarding the wedding ring rumor.
“I mean, it’s hard to say,” said Dayna, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. “I don’t necessarily believe it … Maybe I’m looking at it through my own lens, but I don’t know what is going on with him being in the mix of all of that.”
Katie added cryptically, “If I were Ariana, I know your friends are there, so you gotta tread lightly. I would f**ing hate it.”
The stars were then asked about a rumor that Jeremy will join The Valley next season.
“Yeah, he might be, but I don’t know,” said Dayna. “I feel confused. Sometime, a while ago, before The Valley was filming, I saw him popping up at different things, or like when he got engaged, he went to Scheana’s, and obviously Scheana’s known him for a really long time … but it just, it felt confusing. It was like, I’ve never seen you hang out with these people before.”
Katie interjected, “I mean, he did [hang out with them] but just kind of via Ariana. And I know him and Jax [Taylor] got real close for a while, but I don’t know … I’m trying to stay far away from that.”
Recently, Kristen has hinted that she still believes the wedding ring rumor. Jason, for his part, has continually denied the accusations.
