Brock Davies Shares Why He “Step[ped] Away From Social Media” After Affair Reveal by Scheana Shay, Plus His Plans for the Future

Vanderpump Rules star Brock Davies shares why he “step[ped] away from social media” after his wife Scheana Shay revealed his past affair. The 35-year-old Australian addressed what he learned during his time away and his plans for the future.

In her new memoir, My Good Side, Scheana revealed that Brock cheated when she was pregnant with their child. He apparently hid the affair for two years, until a blind item made him fear that Scheana would hear about it online.

In an August 26 Instagram post, Brock shared why he took a break from social media.

“I did step away from social media just to reflect on my actions and work on certain parts of my life,” he said. “And during that time, I tried a few different things.”

“I started playing a piano around the house. I threw myself into a few projects and just tried to search for something that felt right,” he went on. “But through that process I did realize something: I already was doing what really served me and my family best.”

According to Brock, what served him was “building” things and “sharing my content” with followers.

“[My] series has always been more than just DIY projects,” he explained. “It’s about quality time with my family, it’s about showing my daughter those little irreplaceable memories we made together. And at the time, it’s about adding real value to my family.”

“That’s why I love it. That’s why I’m back because … my past does not define my future. It depends on what choices I make today, and moving forward, it’s going to be Brock the Builder. So I’m excited to take this time, take it to another level, have some fun with it, some new projects, some new builds, the support of everyone I’ve always had from you guys. Let’s get back on this journey. We’re back, baby, and I cannot wait to build something amazing for you guys.”

Brock captioned the post, “Sometimes you have to step back to realize you were already on the right path. I’m back doing what I love: building, creating, and making memories with my family. Brock the Builder is back. Let’s go build some stuff 🛠️✨.”

In the comments, Brock responded to a fan wishing his family “the best future ahead.”

“We got it,” wrote Brock. “It’s in my hands and I’m excited about the future.”
