Alexis Bellino shared what Vicki Gunvalson told her off-camera after Vicki realized that she and Donn Gunvalson were “going to get a divorce.” Plus, Alexis recalled how Vicki made her “scared” during their bizarre first meeting – as Vicki reacted.

When Alexis joined the Real Housewives of Orange County in season 5, Vicki was still married to Don and Alexis was still married to Jim Bellino. Though Alexis famously called Jim her “king,” the couple divorced a few years after her exit from the show.

On My Friend My Soulmate My Podcast, Alexis recalled an off-camera conversation with Vicki in hair and makeup from an early season.

“I think your listeners will love to hear this — I hope that I’m not sharing too much — but you said to me [as] you were just realizing you and Donn were going to get a divorce, you grabbed my hand and you said, ‘Just keep your marriage together, just hold it together,'” said Alexis. “And Jim and I were not even — divorce was not even in the air at that moment.”

Alexis shared that Vicki had “tears in [her] eyes” at the time.

“And you held my hand and you said that. And I remember it as clear as day because … you didn’t know, nobody knew that I was going through marital issues,” she continued. “But … I think Heather and Tamra noticed it because they were very hard on the fact that … I think that people and maybe viewers could even see that [Jim and I] were struggling a little.”

At one point in the podcast, Alexis recalled meeting Vicki for the first time.

“The first time she ever met me, she goes, ‘Welcome to my world,'” shared Alexis. “I went home that day and I told Jim … ‘I’m shaking.'”

“I don’t know why I said that,” Vicki responded. “I’m sorry.”

“[I told my husband] ‘I’m so scared of her. I don’t know what to do,'” Alexis continued.

“You must have said something,” Vicki added. “I was like, ‘Well, welcome to my world.'”

“No,” said Alexis. “I just walked up and said hi.”

“Sorry,” said Vicki.

“It’s okay,” responded Alexis.
