Aaron Phypers is seeking to call Charlie Sheen and Brandi Glanville to the witness stand amid his contentious divorce from Denise Richards. Around the same time, a source claimed the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s legal fees are “bleeding her dry.”
Earlier this year, Aaron filed for divorce from Denise and requested spousal support. Denise accused him of physical abuse. Later on, Aaron claimed that Denise (who was once married to Sheen) is addicted to Vicodin. Years ago, Brandi alleged that she and Denise had an affair while she was with Aaron.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Aaron may call Brandi and Charlie to the witness stand to testify. In the filing, Aaron’s lawyers allege that Charlie and Brandi can corroborate Denise’s “history of not being truthful and of drug and alcohol abuse.”
The filing also alleges that Aaron’s family members will also be called to testify, and that they can address “all of Denise’s allegations, as well as her [alleged] violations of court orders, her lack of fear, phone calls, messages, video she sent, violence by her, breaking Aaron’s phone, trespassing in family members’ rooms, Denise’s drug and alcohol use.”
The lawyers may also depose Denise herself and her dad, Irv Richards, concerning allegations that she violated “orders restricting disposal of assets.”
The witness list also includes counselor Wendy Bernacki, actor Kasia Wolejnio, Terry Ahern, and Sara Curtis. The lawyer filed to oppose redaction requests.
Another source addressed Denise’s abuse allegations: “Denise is employing the same egregious bullying tactics of lies and onslaught of legal maneuvers in attempt to suffocate the truth and overwhelm the respondent into giving up and succumbing to the tyrants’ untrue demands.”
“In [an] effort to not allow this [divorce] case to be a Brandi 2.0, Glanville is being called to testify on Richards’s credibility and manipulative moves,” shared a separate insider, speaking to Page Six. “Denise did [Glanville] dirty … Aaron Phypers’ witness list includes people who can deny Denise Richards credibility on telling the truth.”
Aaron told the same outlet, “Call Brandi Glanville what you like, but she is not a liar!”
Meanwhile, a source told Radar Online that Denise has spent “many tens of thousands” in legal fees.
“Denise is not worth as much as people think. Fact is, she’s burnt through a ton of money over the years and even with all her fame, she’s never been in that mega-high pay bracket,” said the insider. “If she and Aaron don’t figure this out quickly, she could end up in the poorhouse because legal fees are absolutely bleeding her dry, so there’s a real fear this divorce could drain all her savings.”
“She’s so angry right now, she won’t listen to reason and just hire a mediator. She says she doesn’t care how much she has to spend, she’s not just going to give in to Aaron’s demands,” the source continued. “But Aaron’s got a very strong case for spousal support, so odds are she’s going to have to pay him out in the end on top of all the legal fees … It’s a nightmare.”
