Below Deck Mediterranean star Aesha Scott is set to tie the knot soon, and it seems numerous people from the Bravo universe have been invited to the wedding. However, she recently revealed that Captain Jason Chambers won’t be in attendance and stated the reason why.
Aesha began dating her now-fiancé, Scott Dobson, in 2020, after meeting him in high school. The two became engaged in May 2024. Currently, they have their wedding scheduled for March 2026.
Aesha appeared on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and the topic of her wedding came up. First, Andy asked where she stood in the planning process for the event. She told him that it was planned and that it had been relatively easy for her.
“I don’t understand why people get so stressed. Maybe because I’m a chief stew,” Aesha began. “You just sit down and you email people and say, ‘Hey, can you do my wedding?’ And they say yes or no.'”
She added, “I’m very simple, I’m like, noodles and curry, that’s all I need.”
The interview continued, and Andy asked if she was inviting people from the Below Deck universe. She said, “Yes. Hannah and her husband are coming. Anastasia and her husband. Sandy and Leah and Nathan and Gael.” Aesha went on to say that “a lot of people on the backend and production” were coming.
Andy then asked about Captain Jason. “No, Jason’s not coming. We can only bring 130 people. It’s been tough,” Aesha responded.
Andy then joked that the decision didn’t seem “that tough.” Aesha said, “Well, we can’t bring everyone we love, and Sandy’s been in my life a lot longer, so Sandy trumps.” She also said that she told him over the phone that she was unable to invite him to the wedding.
Aesha and Jason worked together on Below Deck: Down Under from 2022 to 2024.
