Alexis Bellino clapped back at a post claiming she allegedly shared a video of her husband, John Janssen, in a “drunken rage.” The Real Housewives of Orange County star explained a photo of her injured eye, and she said she’s considering a “lawsuit” against the account.
Earlier this month, Alexis married John in Laguna Beach, surrounded by friends and loved ones. John was once in a relationship with Alexis’ co-star Shannon Beador, whom he later sued.
On October 16, fan account Below Deck Fans News on Facebook shared a bizarre post about Alexis — along with a photo of her with a cut above her eye.
“RHOC’s Alexis Bellino has left fans speechless after posting a disturbing video allegedly showing her new husband, John Janssen, in a drunken rage — yelling, cursing, and physically assaulting her,” claimed the account. “In the shocking clip, Alexis appears visibly injured, with bruises and swelling around her eye. Insiders say the violent outburst was the breaking point for the reality star, who has now vowed to divorce Janssen immediately. ‘She’s done protecting him — this time, the world will see the truth,’ a source revealed, as Bravo fans flood social media in disbelief over the horrifying footage.”
But Alexis soon took to Instagram to share that the rumor was completely false.
“Oh. My. Gawd!!!!! This has to stop!!!! Do not believe this idiotic Facebook page! It has ZERO credibility,” said Alexis. “This photo is from five years ago from a boating accident. I did not even know John then. AND we haven’t even been in a verbal fight. FYI, my attorney is looking into getting this horrible defamation account shut down and a lawsuit. I’m over the lies. Joke is on him.”
Earlier this week on Reality with The King, Alexis reacted to Heather Dubrow’s explanation for why she skipped Alexis’ wedding. (Heather stated that she was at a parents’ weekend during the wedding, and she said the invite was complicated due to her friendship with Shannon.)
“I’m a little perplexed,” Alexis shared at the time. “I haven’t texted her or reached out yet. But it’s funny because I don’t understand it, because we’ve gone to dinner with [Heather and her husband Terry Dubrow] several times. And I guess maybe it’s a work friendship, but I didn’t think it [was]. I thought we had a deeper friendship than that. But it’s kind of an awkward answer she gave.”
“I have to get to the bottom of that,” she went on. “But yeah, it’s awkward and weird. And she was very excited … when she found out we were engaged.”
