Season 9 of Selling Sunset premiered on Netflix in October 2025. As expected, the season was jampacked with real estate deals, changing relationship dynamics, and even a new face in Sandra Vergara. Now that the much-anticipated reunion special has premiered, many fans are beginning to wonder whether this may be the last they’ll see of Chelsea Lazkani on the show.
Chelsea joined Selling Sunset for the fifth season of the series. She was also new to the Oppenheim Group when she made her debut on the show. Since then, she has become an integral part of the cast and is widely considered a fan favorite.
One of the main reasons why some fans believe Chelsea’s time on Selling Sunset may be up is that she didn’t attend the recent cast party. As has been reported, this wasn’t an official Netflix premiere event. Instead, Bre Tiesi organized the event.
It’s also worth noting that, according to a report TMZ report, neither Chelsea nor Chrishell Stause was invited. Apparently, neither of them was aware that a party was planned.
This isn’t the only reason some fans think Chelsea may be leaving Selling Sunset. According to TikToker Michelle Knutsom, who is a licensed agent in California, Chelsea has allegedly allowed her real estate license to expire. Based on her research, Chelsea’s license was issued in 2017 and it expired in July 2025.
Of course, this doesn’t mean Chelsea doesn’t intend to have her license reinstated. According to Allied Schools, she would need to complete 45 hours of continuing education, submit an application, and pay various fees to become a licensed realtor after her credentials expired.

The last reason some fans believe Chelsea isn’t returning to Selling Sunset is that she has done little to no press for season 9. Her costars, such as Chrishell, Mary Bonnet, and even newbie Sandra, have all done multiple interviews, but Chelsea, as well as Nicole Young, have been relatively quiet.
Still, despite not doing a ton of traditional press, she has posted on her Instagram about the season. Notably, she helped promote the recently released reunion, saying, “Selling Sunset Reunion out now! Wearing a gorgeous dress by @couturebytabik – a meticulous Nigerian designer, so proud to wear my own 🇳🇬
