The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby is having a great season on the show, as fans are raving about what she brings to the screen. However, she’s also currently embroiled in a scandal, as TLC recently released the trailer for an upcoming documentary, The Cult of the Real Housewife, about her church. Now, the RHOSLC star is responding.
The documentary will be divided into three parts, with the first part premiering on TLC on January 1. The trailer for The Cult of the Real Housewife features interviews with her family, individuals with knowledge of the church, and various content creators specializing in reality television.
TikToker Kezhal Dashti recently took to the platform to reveal what Mary had to say about the newly released trailer and upcoming documentary.
She began by saying that she initially reached out to Mary via direct message to ask for a comment about the trailer. This led Mary to block her, but she then later unblocked the content creator.
She read Mary’s message, saying, “I blocked you on TikTok because I thought you were part of these false allegations that have been said since the beginning, when my grandmother opened up the church back in 1961 during civil rights. They’ve been saying that and they’ll probably say it until the end, but these are lies.”
The statement continued, “They are baseless. All lies. Sometimes it’s your own family members who are your worst enemies.”

TLC released the trailer for the explosive documentary on November 13. Based on the preview, it will explore questions about Mary’s leadership in the church and her controversial marriage to Robert Cosby Sr. There are also allegations that the church is a cult.
Despite the controversy, Mary is currently in attendance at BravoCon 2025. She was seen on a panel smiling and laughing next to Heather Gay on the first night of the convention. There have also been reports from fans at the event that Mary received the biggest applause from the crowd.
