Katie Ginella shared which co-star she’s willing to reconcile with on Real Housewives of Orange County, and she addressed claims that her friendship with Tamra Judge is “strategic.” Katie also suggested that the finale scene against Tamra was an attempt to “stir the pot” to “mask” other “indiscretions.”
In the recent finale, Jennifer Pedranti, Shannon Beador, and Gina Kirschenheiter spoke on the phone with an anonymous source who claimed that Tamra leaked info about the season to content creators after slamming Katie for doing the same thing.
In an interview with Virtual Reali-Tea at BravoCon, Katie was told that Gretchen and Jennifer recently gushed over Katie, claiming they’re now cordial and that they all took a photo together.
Katie looked surprised. “I thought I just saw a pig [flying],” she said.
She was then asked if she would ever revisit those friendships.
“I will with Jenn for sure,” she said.
“Why Jenn and not Gretchen?” asked co-host Evan Real.
“Because I’m not a homophobe,” said Katie, who was later asked if she believes Gretchen ‘liked’ offensive posts, as discussed in the season. “Some are still liked and commented on. I’ve seen them on my phone.”
In a separate interview for ET, host Brice Sander asked Katie about the claim that her friendship with Tamra is “strategic” so she can “stay on the show.”
“I’m not sure how to answer that,” she said. “It’s not strategic. When I was paused from filming, she was the first one to call me the very next day, not Jenn, and asked how I was doing, and she didn’t even know what the fan reaction would be. So she literally took a chance on bringing me back in, filming with me again, and it’s been a very organic type of relationship.”
Later on, she addressed the finale scene about Tamra.
“Sometimes when people are guilty of something, they [will] stir the pot on something else to mask their indiscretions,” she said, referring to Gina, Shannon, and Jenn. “I think that there’s no proof. We didn’t see anything leak … If the guy really did this and heard this, then who is it? Come out and say it with your whole chest. Let’s hear you. Let’s meet you.”
