Demi Engemann claimed she conspired with production to make it seem like she and Dakota Mortensen had something “going on.” Around the same time, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star poked fun at her ‘Fruity Pebbles’ controversy with a video of her husband, Bret Engemann, drinking a yellow liquid.

Earlier this week, Jessi Ngatikaura alleged that Demi’s husband Bret drank her urine. Demi later confirmed that it happened once, but she slammed Jessi for exposing it publicly.

For several years, castmate Taylor Frankie Paul has been on and off with her ex, Dakota, the father of her youngest child. Back in May, Mikayla Matthews accused Demi of trying to stage an affair with Dakota to make a big finale for season one.

“Awkward that I now have to clarify this and reveal just how produced this show is,” wrote Demi in a recent social media comment, via @themormonwivesreport on Instagram. “Production sat us down after filming season 1 asking us for ideas for a ‘big cliffhanger’ because the show was ‘boring’. We all threw out a bunch of ideas and one of mine was me saying that Dakota could meet up with me to get advice about him and taylor and someone could ‘get footage’ of us talking in the car making it seem like ‘something might be going on between us.'”

“Then at the top of season 2 [it would be] cleared up that he was just there to get my advice about Taylor the same way he did with Mayci,” she continued. “It really was not that deep or serious. This is a perfect example of the ‘pile on’ tactic these women use when someone is already down in the public eye.”

According to Demi, “ALL” castmates “gave ideas for a cliffhanger.”

“But the way that they relayed this story was as though I just ‘wanted to stage an affair’ out of the blue for fun,” she said. “No. Not at all what happened, nor would I ever stage anything on my own, unlike some.”

Her last sentence seemed to be an accusation against castmates.

Around the same time, Demi made an Instagram video poking fun at the Fruity Pebbles controversy. In the video, Demi showed Bret a magazine cover about Jessi exposing “Fruity Pebbles Gate,” as a caption read, “Did you see the news?!”

Bret then drank a yellow liquid while reading an article about “what Fruity Pebbles really means.”

“Yup,” he answered.

Demi then shrugged her shoulder and ate Fruity Pebbles from a margarita glass. In another caption, she wrote, “[I’m] petitioning to change the title to Secret Lives of Kinky Wives.”
