The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is set to return for its 15th season on December 4. Leading up to the show’s premiere, not only is Kyle Richards giving an update on her dating life, but Mauricio Umansky is also opening up about possibly reuniting with her. Plus, see how they spent Thanksgiving.
Kyle and Mauricio announced to the public that they were separated in July 2023. This came after several months of intense rumors. Since then, the two have remained mostly amicable, but no divorce paperwork has been filed.
According to The Mirror, Mauricio, the face of ARI Soho’s 2026 campaign, recently spoke in an interview about Kyle, calling her “my life partner.” He also said that regardless of their separation, “I am lucky enough to be best friends with Kyle and just a happy man.”
When asked if they could get back together, the real estate mogul said, “Who knows? I have no idea what my story is. Currently, I’m taking it one day at a time. I’m moving a day at a time. I’m enjoying my life today, and whatever happens in the future will happen in its own time.”
He continued, “We don’t close any doors. You never say never. Never. You never know. She’s amazing. She’s my life partner, and that’s the bottom line. And we’ve been married. We were both married super young. I was 25 years old. We were together for 27 years of success. Who knows where this goes?”
Mauricio then said, “I have the best kids in the world. I love them more than anything in the world. I feel their love for me. We’re a tight family no matter what, and it just is who we are. So the whole family is one unit.”
Regarding their status today, he shared, “I don’t think we stopped anything. I can tell you that one of the unique things about Kyle and I is that we have lived our life on and off the screen real. All our relationships have been real. All of our lives have been real/and so we’ve never had to think about, like, Hey, we’re now on screen. We’re now off-screen. What are we going to do? What are we going to do? How are we going to act? What are we going to say?”
He added, “We’ve never had to go through that. It’s always been real, and it’s just who we are, so it’s easy. We don’t have to pretend. It just is what it is.”
Mauricio also had a message for people who have negative takes about his relationships online. He said to them, “All of these people on Instagram that take life too seriously and that give me sh** and talk about it and have opinions. You know what I have to say to you? Get a life. Enjoy your life. Life’s meant to be fun. Just enjoy it. Do things that make you happy, be a happy human being.”
He went on to discuss the impact of online trolls on his family, saying, “It’s bullying. Don’t be a bully. That’s all I can tell you, and please refrain from cyberbullying. At the end of the day, for me, thank God I have a great family and great kids.”

Kyle recently had an exclusive interview with PEOPLE about her love life post-split from Mauricio. According to her, “Right now, I’m just enjoying being by myself and with my girls and traveling and enjoying the time I have off from shooting. I just had a girls’ weekend in Nashville. We had the best time. It’s like all the fall vibes. And I’m good.”
She was then asked if she hopes to settle down again. “Of course,” Kyle responded. “I hope to get married again one day. I mean, listen, I’m someone who really enjoys being married. So I won’t be single my whole life.”
