Kelly Dodd shared an update with her daughter, Jolie Dodd, amid their feud over a leaked voicemail. The Real Housewives of Orange County star revealed that she apologized and addressed where they stand.
Last month, a clip was leaked of Kelly’s voicemail to her daughter, though Kelly allegedly sent it through Jolie’s friend (because Jolie had Kelly blocked). In the voicemail, Kelly seemingly threatened to reveal recordings of Jolie screaming at her dad. She also called Jolie a “dumb little girl.”
Since the clip was leaked, Kelly has suggested that her brother and mom have taken Jolie’s side.
Speaking with Us Weekly on December 1, Kelly addressed the situation.
“I apologized to Jolie. All I want is Jolie back in my life,” she said. “I have been trying to narrow the gap and bring Jolie back. I talked to her that way because it was out of anger and frustration.”
She added that Jolie hasn’t forgiven her, though Kelly regrets calling her names.
“Should I have done it? No. Did I apologize? Yeah, I did. But she doesn’t know how to move on, and she’s getting bad advice from bad people, and she has a lot of growing up to do,” said the star. “It is so destructive with my mom and my brother, and everybody should be like, ‘You guys should make amends.’ Normal, healthy people do that. They try to make amends between families. You don’t want division.”
In the leaked voicemail, Kelly told Jolie, “You just opened a Pandora’s box, Jolie. I have recordings of you, screaming at your dad because he isn’t taking you on vacation, screaming that he didn’t buy you a car … Do you remember those recordings that I saved? I have those, and I’m going to publicly put them out there. Do you understand?”
“For you to do this to me after I bought you a car, paid for your college, paid for your health insurance, took you to the doctors, got you all your clothes, I did all that. Meanwhile, your dad was being some f**king loser and put those three kids first before you,” Kelly added. “I have all of those, so what you just did right now, you’re going to look like a fool, you dumb little girl. You’re stupid, okay? For even thinking that you’re going to win.”
