Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi revealed why she was “blackballed” from celebrity dating app Raya, and if she “had a good time” with any male celebrities at BravoCon 2025. The Valley: Persian Style star also shared more details behind her rumored romances with Captain Jason Chambers and Shep Rose.
Golnesa started out on Shahs of Sunset, which was put on pause in 2021. In her new show, The Valley: Persian Style, Golnesa shares the screen with former castmates Mercedes ‘MJ’ Javid and Reza Farahan.
On Housewives Nightcap, Golnesa addressed her dating life.
“I started thinking, why am I not dating? How do I do it? And apparently, everyone’s doing the online stuff. So I went out, and I bought an iPad … just to sign up for Raya, because Raya’s only for Apple users,” said Golnesa, via @byewighellodrama on Instagram. “So I signed up … just like two weeks ago, I think. And I got put on the waiting list because I don’t have referrals.”
The host asked why Golnesa doesn’t have any referrals.
“Because I don’t know anyone who… I won’t dig into that, but you’re supposed to share your contacts. I didn’t know that,” she said. “They scan your contacts to see if they have members. That’s what they were just telling me — if any of my contacts are already a part of it, I can use them as a rec. But I feel like that’s a little intrusive. So I said no. So because of that, I got kind of, like, blackballed over to the waiting list.”
Golnesa shared that she didn’t “have fun” with any men at BravoCon in November.
“Listen, I’ve had a good time with a few Bravoleb men [in the past],” she said. “I’m not going to put them out there. Other people have put it out there a little bit … [But] I did not have a thing with Captain Jason. He and I are just really good friends. … I think [Mercedes] thinks that because of how close he and I are … And it was so petty. I’m like, I don’t even need to go and course correct that because he’s such a good friend of mine. He had something going with my best friend.”
She was then asked about Shep.
“That was a little bit of a thing, yeah,” said Golnesa. “[But] I don’t think either of us are each other’s taste, so to speak. I think I was a little bit of … the forbidden apple, the forbidden fruit. … He’s extremely intelligent. So I am really turned on by intellect … The juices started kind of [going].”
