Meredith Marks clapped back at criticism over her wig on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, as she shared why she wore it. The star also reacted to Whitney Rose’s recent divorce filing and gave her some friendly advice.
Meredith and Whitney have feuded for several years now, though they were once good friends. Ahead of the new season, Whitney declared on stage at an event that she hates Meredith. On the new season, several co-stars have shaded Meredith’s wig. Meanwhile, Meredith opened up about her recent facelift (which castmates also commented on).
Recently, Meredith addressed co-stars who were shading her wig on RHOSLC.
“Let me be clear,” she wrote. “I have no visible scars to hide. My doctor is excellent. And no, they do not know why I am wearing a wig. I did not share that information.”
Later on, fan account @xxyoungheartxx called Meredith out on Threads, “Meredith you are on a reality show.. so tell us why you’re wearing a wig? A lot of people wear wigs nothing is wrong with that.”
Meredith then fired back.
“Are you making a post for every other housewife who wears a wig or extensions. It will be almost every HW. Why are you only asking me?” she wrote. “Can’t I wear a wig just bc I want to? Does there have to be a reason? Find something productive to do with your time, love.”
“Moreover being on a reality show does not mean you have to explain and justify any and every decision,” she added. “Have all the HWs talked [about] their facelifts like me? Go ask since you think we need to justify everything.”
In an interview for Us Weekly, Meredith said she hasn’t spoken to Whitney since she filed for divorce.
“I do hope she’s doing well and I’m wishing her and her family all the best in whatever the outcome is,” she said. “You know, [my husband] Seth and I filed for divorce, and look where we’re at. So you never know. But if you really want a divorce, then that’s the best thing ever. … I hope she ends up happy. I hope Justin, the kids, everyone end up happy in the long run.”
